Walk the World is a global walk to raise awareness for the growing problem of world hunger. Initiated by the World Food Programme and their primary partners TNT, Unilever en DSM. On Sunday 6 June 2010 thousands of people in 80 countries walk the five kilometres, the average distance a child has to walk to get to school in a developing country. The walk is attended by celebrities such as Sean Connery and Drew Barrymore. In Scheveningen, Arie Boomsma joins the walk.
